Financial Controller

If you're an experienced and highly motivated Financial Controller who would love to join a reputable and ambitious business, then this opportunity is one not to be missed! Due to continued expansion, we currently have an exciting opportunity for the right candidate who is looking to progress and grow with the company.
Reporting to the Head Of Finance and the board of directors, you will be responsible for the efforts and results of the finance department in all financial and accounting activities and will oversee the finance department in day-to-day operations.
Your responsibilities will be to:
- To ensure consolidation reporting of financials to strict deadlines.
- Duties include budget, rolling outlook, forecast and cash flow management.
- Experience with reporting under UKGAAP and USGAAP policies
- Understanding of Financial Accounts
- Liaising with the external and internal auditors.
- VAT, Intrastat, Payroll related matters and preparation of other government statistical returns.
- Foreign exchange reporting.
- Supervise and manage financial department staff, including accountants and financial assistants
- Ensure that all financial transactions are properly recorded, filed, and reported
- Establish and implement financial reporting systems to comply with government regulations and legislation
- Collaborate with auditing services to ensure proper compliance with all regulations
- Develop budgets and financial plans for the company based on research and data reports
- Review all financial plans and budgets regularly to look for cost reduction opportunities
Experience and skills required
- ACCA or ACA qualified
- Experience at Financial Controller level
- Manufacturing industry - Desirable
- Effective and proven people management skills, with the ability to motivate and lead from the front
