Our client is a high growth B2B SaaS business with exciting growth plans and they are now looking to recruit a CFO who will act as the right-hand support focussed on driving execution of the business plan. Working with the CEO and management team to drive future growth, this is a broad role incorporating operational functions including Legal and HR.

Main duties & responsibilities
  • Responsible for all company financial operations in relation to the company bank account, cashflow, payables, receivables, expenses and treasury
  • Analyse and report company finances, client profitability and key metrics to the management team, identifying immediate opportunities to save or acquire cash
  • Devise and implement short and long-term plans, tools and processes to speed payments, increase revenues, reduce costs, improve profitability, manage budgets, incentivise employees, set pricing, provide quotes, improve reporting and raise equity or debt finance and drive heads of departments to undertake actions that comply with plans, budgets and processes
  • Manage the CRM (Salesforce) reporting outputs and drive teams to input information that ensures output accuracy
  • Support the CEO in sourcing, managing and closing equity or debt funding opportunities, through creation of materials, sourcing and communicating with investors and managing the closing process and any other tasks as required
  • Fulfil board and shareholder reporting requirements
  • Manage the company shareholder Cap Table
  • Manage all company treasury matters and statutory filing requirements
  • Report and manage company R&D claims to ensure timely and immediate payment
  • Ensure the company’s continued adherence to requirements of the HMRC EIS scheme for as long as required for EIS eligible shareholders
  • Analyse company risks and manage all company insurance policies
  • Support customer and partner commercial negotiations and ensure profitable pricing
This role would ideally suit somebody with previous Board level experience in a SaaS business that has scaled internationally. A strong understanding of the principles of SaaS accounting and SaaS metrics is essential.
