Aston Murray is currently recruiting a Finance Director for a private equity backed IT services company based in Reading.
This Finance Director role reports directly to the MD and is responsible for; management of a small finance team; the timely production, review and delivery of monthly management accounts and board pack with financial commentary; providing insightful and appropriate financial advice at board meetings; budgeting and forecasting; providing clear and accurate decision-making data to the management team; implementing better financial processes and controls, and instilling a strong focus on cost control within the business; negotiating and managing operational contracts; managing relationships with external parties including auditors, banks and tax advisors; oversight of the legal, HR and operational requirements of the business; ensuring all statutory and regulatory reporting requirements are met; and any M&A activity as identified by the board.
The business has gone through a lot of change over the past few years but is now backed by a private equity firm and the business is aiming to double turnover over the next three years. This is an exciting time to join the senior management team of a rapidly growing company with a solid financial base as they begin the next phase in their growth.
To be considered for this role you must be a qualified accountant with prior experience of a senior leadership role in an SME business. It is also essential to have strong communication skills and are able to challenge others in a non-combative manner. Prior experience of working in an IT services company would be beneficial but is not essential.
This Finance Director role is paying £80K - £90K plus bonus and benefits.
