Our central government client is seeking a qualified Employment Solicitor, with at least 3 years qualified experience for an interim contract.
To work under the direction and control of an Employment Law manager. Providing excellent procedural case management and representation with litigated cases and providing exceptional legal advice on policy or general employment law.
Duties include:
To research, analyse and interpret legislation in order to provide legal advice to senior line managers.
To work independently , prioritize and manage case load focusing on: Employment Tribunals, disciplinary cases, conflict resolution and grievance. Including but not exhaustive to redundancy issues , employment contracts, discrimination issues, medical retirement, pensions, interpretation of regulations. Additionally, Health and Safety and Working Time issues.
To prepare and advocate in Employment tribunals and High Court proceedings. On average once a month negotiating a resolution.
Have exceptional organisation skills with maintaining a detailed log of all litigated claims and pre-issue conciliated claims to provide statistical data with legislative requirements DPA / FOIA / EqA including an external log.
