This fantastic global business who are leading in their field are looking to bring on board a Finance Manager on an immediate basis to cover a smooth hand over and various projects.

- Take full ownership of monthly margin accounting activities, which deals with large number of small value transactions
- Dedicated resource now allocated to ensure finance can keep pace with business and improve general transparency / understanding of margin
- Particular remit of this role is to identify and drive forward GP reporting improvements quickly (e. accelerate period end close, better understanding of leakage, more transparent reporting) but in a controlled manner
- Ensure team is set up such that can walk away at end of assignment with robust processes and procedures in place
- Will manage 2 FTEs who will do day to day tasks but will require direction in driving forward and ensuring robust controls in place
- Will work closely with shared services finance manager to ensure overall European result compiled to deadline and be alert to how overall process can be accelerated and made more efficient
- Will require lots of interaction with different functions across business.
Key skills and experience needed
- Qualified accountant and technically sound
- Post qualification experience in larger company environment, ideally company operating across multiple countries and has experience of margin/ systems related issues
- Experience managing a team and driving process improvements
- Strong Excel and reporting skills
- Analytical mind-set with ability to readily understand processes/ large volumes of data and communicate issues /next steps in simple terms
- Strives for simplicity where appropriate
- Comfortable working in changeable environment
- Willing and able to get hands dirty
- Can communicate clearly with finance and non-finance personnel at all levels
