This fantastic global business who are leading in their field are looking to bring on board a Technical Finance Manager on an immediate basis to cover a smooth hand over and various projects.
Duties
- Ensure that all accounting/ reporting and compliance requirements are completed to a high standard and to deadline
- Full ownership of business critical margin project which focuses on improving our accounting, controls and understanding of the margin result
- Ownership of the margin project to improve accounting, enhance understanding, and make processes more robust such that reported gross margin is more accurate and easier to understand.
- Take full ownership of the monthly margin accounting, managing 2 FTEs as appropriate to deliver compilation of monthly GP to good quality and deadline
- Manage the completion of all statutory/ tax /regulatory reporting for legal entities
- Maintain a strong governance/ control focus ensuring that adequate financial and asset protection controls are in place, compliance with all accounting policies, appropriate balance sheet reconciliations
- Manage and interface with internal/ external audit/ SOX teams where appropriate to ensure timely submission of financial information to all external and internal timelines
- Participate in and / or provide advice to any development activities whilst driving for compliance, simplicity and standardization in all processes
- Respond quickly and effectively to ad hoc requests for information from senior stakeholders.
Key skills and experience needed
- Qualified accountant - ACA, ACCA or CIMA
- Accounting experienced within a large organisation would be advantageous;
- As would experience working with SOX and/or in a shared services environment
- Analytical mind set with ability to readily understand processes/ large volumes of data and communicate in simple terms
- Devised and implemented process improvements
- Significant experience of managing month end and delivering to tight deadlines
- Experience of completing statutory reporting and managing auditor or similar relationships.
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Margin accounting would be an advantage.
