Financial Controller - Group Accounting

SF Recruitment are currently a Financial Controller - Group Accounting for a rapidly expanding international business in North Nottingham. This is a fantastic opportunity to work for a well-established and successful business that can offer exciting career and development opportunities.

As the Financial Controller - Group Accounting you will manage a small team and is a key management role where you will lead the Group Accounting team in controlling and consolidating the Group wide reporting and accounting.

Key responsibilities:
- Lead and develop the Group Accounting team of 3 which will grow as the business demands
- Managing the team to ensure the group Management Accounts are produced in order to present the Group Accounts quarterly to the Senior Management Team
- Production of the Group Annual Accounts and presentation to the CFO and SMT
- Production of Group Consolidations and pulling together under IFRS for the CFO to review
- Production of budgeting and forecasting
- Manipulation of large data sets in order to run queries and produce the Group Consolidations

You will be a qualified accountant (ACA/ ACCA/ CIMA Qualified or equivalent) with at least 3-5 years post qualification experience within a fast moving business. You will have previous experience of working as a Financial Controller or Financial Accountant at group level within a complex organisation. You will have a broad skill set, with previous experience of group consolidations and presenting group accounts to the Senior Management Team. You will have excellent IT and Excel skills, with the ability to manipulate large data sets, run queries and produce meaningful reports. You will have excellent communication skills with the the ability to present to the Senior Management Team. You will have the ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines, as well as working in a change environment.
