Axon Moore are looking for an interim Management Accountant on an ongoing interim basis.
Reporting directly to the Financial Director, you will be responsible for Management Accounting, Revenue Management, Commercial and Management reporting, Maintaining Financial Processes and Controls, Payroll, VAT, Ad hoc analysis and Reporting.

Management Accounting
- Ensure month-end closing is completed to strict deadlines with all journals posted & reconciliations completed
- Ensure the management accounts pack is produced to the timescales required by the business.
- Support the Director of Finance during the budgeting process, providing information, suggestions, cost breakdowns, analysis and other ad hoc information as required.
- Work closely with the Sales & Marketing teams to develop the annual revenue budget
- Maintain and improve detailed revenue models split by product, sales channel, take date and activity date.
- Regularly review date, identifying trends, investigating variances, highlighting risks and opportunities
- Attend trading meetings providing a commercial input
- Ad hoc projects to enhance commercial performance
- Ad-hoc analysis and forecasting
- Maintaining financial processes & controls
- Production of daily, weekly, monthly MI reports including MI for the board packs.
- Production or all cost centre reports, management reports and ad-hoc financial reports.
- Improving systems and processes and introducing automation techniques where possible.
- Support external audit preparation work and assist the Auditors and Director of Finance
- Support Corporation tax calculation process, proving cost breakdowns and analysis
- Ensure that all VAT is correctly accounted for and that all relevant HMRC requirements are adhered to
- Ensure that the company payroll is produced and processed accurately and within the agreed timescales
- CIMA, ACCA, ACA qualified - essential.
- Proven ability to collate monthly management accounts with minimal supervision, including P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash flows.
- Experience of producing and analysing a variety of MI / KPI reports
- Experienced in driving improvements to commercial performance through provision of information, analysis, insight and recommendations.
- Ability to manage payroll and pensions and have an understanding of legal and statutory requirements
- Strong financial management skills, including formulating budgets, budget monitoring, stock control, cost control
