Commercial Financial Controller

Ignata Finance are delighted to be exclusively retained for the recruitment of a Commercial Financial Controller for a rapidly growing, Dartford based business. This is a high potential opportunity that requires an ACA qualified accountant -there is a clear plan and pathway for the successful candidate to progress to the FD position within a 6-18month window. As such, we are searching for high quality, ambitious individuals who are looking to accelerate their career trajectory. This role is built around being a true business partner to all areas of the business as you will be working cross-functionally to help grow the business.

Principal Accountabilities:

•Ownership of the daily operations of the finance team with responsibility for a medium sized team

•Responsibility and oversight of group consolidation

•Oversight of group FP&A

•Take control of monthly financial reporting processes

•Ownership of the budget, forecasting and cash flow

•Business partnering, commercial support and analysis working closely with sales, marketing, operations and IT

•Careful cost management across the group, driving performance management whilst improving product margins

•Implementing process and system improvements

•Ownership of annual audit

•A deputy to the Group CFO

Skills and experience required:

•Highly geared, self-motivated, driven individual

•ACA or ACCA qualified chartered accountant with at least 10 years of experience -ideally big 4 trained

•Broad experience of working within an entrepreneurial business and larger corporates

•A track record of successfully delivering change, raising standards, improving systems and processes

•Experience of materially developing management information to gain better insight into the business to drive margin improvement

•Leadership experience of managing a finance team (performance and talent management)

•Emotional intelligence and gravitas to engage with the wider business across the different functions

•Experience with transaction related work, including mergers / acquisitions

Location: Dartford

Salary: £80-90k
