Role:

As Sole Legal Counsel / Head of Legal, you will be responsible for a broad range of legal affairs, likely to include: commercial contract advice and negotiation; implementing new policies and procedures; assisting with business strategy and direction; corporate governance; risk and compliance advice; and other ad hoc legal and commercial matters.

You will be a member of the Senior Management Team, and will have direct interaction with the Executive Team and Group Finance Director. You will be responsible for the management of one direct report and you will have the authority to establish, implement and set the legal direction of the business.

About you:

The business is looking for the Sole Legal Counsel / Head of Legal to work either four or five days per week. You should possess strong general commercial knowledge and experience, and be ready to assume the responsibility and autonomy that comes with being the lead lawyer in an ambitious growing company.

Location:

The role is based in Lancashire however some remote working is possible, either from home or the company's satellite office in South Manchester.

This role is very commutable from Preston, Blackburn, Burnley, Bolton, Bury, parts of West Yorkshire and North Manchester.
