A unique and exciting opportunity has arisen for a junior legal counsel to join the in-house legal team at this interesting business with operations spanning two industries.
The company is looking for a Junior Legal Counsel to join on a c.6-9 month contract to cover maternity leave.
The current focus of the team is largely on commercial contracts, compliance work, dispute resolution and matters of corporate law. The role will report formally to the Group General Counsel and, on a day to day basis, will work closely with the Legal Counsel/Senior Legal Counsel.
Experience in corporate and commercial law is essential as is some experience of dispute resolution. The successful candidate will ideally have trained either in-house or at a well-regarded law firm and be qualified in England and Wales. Previous exposure to the mining or extractives industry would also be advantageous.
The role is based at the company's head office in central London, however, travel to international projects may also be required.
