Chief Financial & Operating Officer

Mirada Medical is a leading specialist in medical imaging software, combining cutting edge science with practical application. Founded more than 15 years ago, a management buyout in 2008 led by the current CEO, Hugh Bettesworth from the then owners, Siemens Healthcare has seen continued growth both in the UK and the US. Following a recent injection of funding, the business is poised to continue expanding across the globe including in Europe and Asia. As a result of this planned growth a new role has been created for Chief Financial & Operating Officer.

Reporting to the CEO and sitting on the board you will lead a finance team as well as the commercial and sales operations.

The Chief Financial & Operating Officer will be responsible for strategic financial planning and reporting as well as supporting the CEO with delivering P&L. You will develop pricing strategies, manage CRM processes and sales pipeline development and drive sales success with creative incentive compensation plans. You will have strong previous experience of contract negotiations as you will support business development. You will ideally have experience working in a business selling software products on a subscription or Software as a Service basis.

You will drive a climate that delivers on strategic commercial objectives and maintains an environment that attracts, retains and motivates top quality staff.

The successful candidate will ideally be a qualified accountant with both strong financial and operational skills. You will have proven experience in leading teams across a business ideally within the software as a service or annuity-based sector and ideally had experience of fund-raising and/or M&A activities. You will need to demonstrate your ability to be both hands-on when required as well as delivering strategic advice and commercial acumen within a small/medium sized business.
