Your new company
A leading legal 100 firm in the heart of Reading is looking to increase their headcount after a number of very successful senior team additions. With a number of new partners coming on board, this firm is currently going from strength to strength and is following suit through recruiting across multiple departments. Previous winners of the Gold Standard award and UK Law Firm of the Year, this firm is a leading example of how a firm should be and with a no-barrier approach within departments. This is a fantastic opportunity for anyone looking to joining a great place to work.
Your new role
Their national Property Litigation team has extensive experience and unrivalled expertise in dealing with this complex area of the law. With one of the largest property litigation practices in the UK, they are able to assist clients in all areas of landlord and tenant litigation, and in any real estate dispute. They act, for example, in connection with break notices; dilapidations; forfeiture; land registration disputes; issues relating to landlord's consent; lease renewals; possession claims; recovery of rent and other arrears; rights to light and other easement disputes; service charge issues; property related insolvency; and restrictive covenants.
They also advise on several niche areas of law, including property related telecommunications issues, judicial review, and agricultural law. Their clients include household names in the retail and leisure sectors, investment landlords, developers of both commercial and residential land, local authorities, and other public bodies.
What you'll need to succeed
This role will be suitable for a Senior Associate looking for the next step in their career or an existing Partner to join the locally recognised Thames Valley office. Working alongside the national head of property litigation, the ideal candidate will have an appetite for business development and be keen to support the wider growth agenda for the practice. You will come in and hit the ground running with a caseload as well as have 1 direct report.
