New- In-House Permanent Role - Banking Regulation - Top Tier Investment Bank- 1-4 PQE

My client is a tier 1 investment bank looking to hire a banking regulatory lawyer into their team in Dublin on a permanent basis. 

The key function of the role is to assist the head of legal and general counsels of the bank on all matters of Irish corporate and banking laws and regulations. 

The main purpose of the role is to:

• Support regulatory and strategic projects affecting the bank (e.g. regulatory and migration projects).
• Contribute to devising and implementing enhancements process and solutions to reduce or minimize the legal risk related to the bank.
• Deliver training and education to the businesses and Infrastructure teams on topical issues, legal risks and regulatory, as appropriate.
• Understand legal risk; identify, analyse and communicate risks, escalating risk and control issues appropriately, assisting in the coordination between clusters and the different legal team involved.
• Identify and drive risk mitigation, efficiency and cost saving initiatives
• Communicate commercial consequences of legal risk issues to the impacted business areas.

A strong candidate should be Irish law qualified with experience in banking and financial law and regulatory matters. The candidate should have 1-4 years post qualification experience.
