Financial Controller

My client is a rapidly growing international digital marketing agency and they are looking for a Financial Controller to run their European business. The Financial Controller will lead all core financial processes and manage a team of three individuals locally and 2-3 others across various European entities. This is a really important hire for the business as the Financial Controller will play a key role in driving process improvements in a rapidly changing environment.

The Financial Controller will be required to train, develop and coach the existing individuals within the team as well as potentially hire and on board new team members. Due to the growth and the continued international expansion, this individual will also need to be comfortable with managing team members remotely.

This individual will be responsible for the monthly financial processes including the monthly close, review and sign of the balance sheet, run detailed analysis into the P&L and monthly balance sheet, work closely with the central FP&A team to investigate comparison of actual vs forecasted results as well as take on a wide range of ad hoc projects.

The ideal candidate will be an ACA qualified accountant with strong financial reporting experience within industry. Some experience of managing a team is important as is a proactive mindset to driving process improvements.
