Interim Commercial Finance Manager

Marks Sattin are currently looking to recruit a Commercial Finance Manager on behalf of a large FMCG business in West Yorkshire.

My client is keen to find a confident and personable qualified accountant with a passion for being involved in the wider business, driving the company forward and improving the processes and systems within. As a result they are open to considering both experienced Financial Controllers and Managers who are ambitious and are looking to take the next step in their career as long as they have the gravitas and knowledge to be involved in the commercial and strategic decision making which will shape the path the business takes in the immediate future.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Develop a new monthly MI (management information) pack
• Update current weekly/monthly reporting models in preparation for the new financial year, ensuring data accuracy and automation
• Develop new reporting as required by the business, with a focus on improving information on commercial financial performance (sales and margin)
• Build new divisional reporting, incorporating data from a newly implemented system, with a focus on improving trend reporting and insight for decision making
• Support management accounts reporting as required e. preparation of trend analysis for month end packs, additional analysis required at year end, shareholder information requests
• Prepare budget summaries in a format suitable to be used as source data for reporting models

Candidates with following experience will be considered:

• Professional Qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with post qualified experience
• Recent relevant commercial experience in Manufacturing/FMCG or Retail
• Ability to lead, influence and challenge sales directors
• Stakeholder management and influencing
• Commercial and operational decision support
• Strong IT skills including advanced Excel
