Litigation Counsel - Construction

McKenzie Douglas are representing a major global organisation, they are well established and well respected within the industry. Our client has European roots but a global presence.

They employ more than 150,000 employees worldwide and enjoy a fantastic reputation as both an employer and a provider (of their service). They are growing at a fantastic rate and have promising plans afoot.  

Accountabilities

This is a newly created role within an expanding team and organisation.

You will be responsible for providing advice in relation to contentious construction claims. The advice must benefit the company so they can make commercial, cost effective and strategic advice as soon as possible.

You will handle negotiations and commercial settlements but on occasion, you may refer to external counsel for adjudications, advocacy and complex / high level litigation. 

Requirements

• Qualified Solicitor, 3 - 10 years PQE
• Personable, robust, confident and have a flexible attitude
• Essential experience - Commercial litigation lawyers who have some exposure to the construction/ property development, engineering or utilities sectors

Salary and Culture
