Our client is a globally recognised organisation who are experiencing substantial growth. They operate in several product markets and have become a popular household name.
The Role
This is a newly created position to act as Lead Lawyer on an exciting cutting-edge automotive project.
You will work as an integral member of the senior team in their automotive division collaborating with fellow leaders to devise legal strategy, guiding on future developments and providing expert and pragmatic advice on commercial and complex contract issues.
The position will support in a design, build and engineered environment. You will help the business navigate complex issues, identify risk and solutions whilst supporting major tender processes.
This post gives responsibility to manage a junior lawyer and build a future legal team for the division.
Requirements
- Qualified Solicitor with minimum of 5 years PQE*
- Automotive industry experience (essential)
- Background in commercial contract law including procurement, IT, manufacture and delivery
- Proficient in drafting, reviewing and negotiating
- People management experience (desirable)
- Some previous in-house experience (preferred)
- Self-motivated, excellent communication skills and the ability to build relationships across a business (essential)
