Partner Financial are working with a global engineering group to source an experienced Group Financial Controller for up to 12 months. A high-profile position, working closely with the CFO and Executive team, this is an opportunity to partner the business and drive a best in class group function to ensure the organisation achieves its current and future goals. They are seeking a seasoned professional to galvanise company development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Driving the Group Control function and taking ownership of all Group Accounting matters, to support the CFO
  • Supporting the end to end process and driving improvements in both the UK finance function as well as the in-country finance structure
  • Using the strategic position gained though seeing all numbers at ‘Group' level
  • Management of group consolidations including FX, acquisition accounting
  • Responsible for implementing group reporting, consolidation, planning and subsidiary accounting systems
  • Assist in the implementation of a new cloud-based ERP system
  • Knowledge of accounting principles and implementation of standard costing systems
  • Accountable for working with auditors to design and deliver the group audit process
  • Design and deliver accounting policies, internal controls and governance frameworks
  • Experience with international transfer pricing implementation
  • Review of the corporation tax and VAT returns for UK and international subsidiaries
  • Compilation and analysis of capital expenditure projects

The successful candidate will have: 

  • Professionally qualified ACA, ACCA or CIMA with appropriate level of PQE
  • Previous Big 4 Audit experience is highly desirable
  • Experience gained in the engineering, construction or house building is highly desirable
  • Demonstrable experience in accounting and financial reporting
  • Recent experience as an Interim Group Financial Controller managing a large finance and accounting function (20+)
  • A dynamic work ethic and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment with passion for excellence and innovation 
  • A resilient and results-driven management skill set with strong people skills and an eye for detail
  • Must be available immediately
