We are looking to recruit a bright and focused Commercial Business Partner to join our finance team in Tamworth.

What do we expect

The role will be to deliver greater insight through the numbers to support and contribute to business decisions and help drive profitability through the provision of quality management information and commercial advice.

The role will need a degree of flexibility, pragmatism, a good understanding of risks and priorities and the ability to be an influencer and good communicator to ensure processes are understood and adopted.

You should be experienced in working with stakeholders to model and document business processes and have the ability to recognise their risk impacts on the financial statements.

Attention to detail is paramount and you will need to be able to work in a team and share the knowledge obtained.

Key Competencies

  • Undertake all relevant business, project and operational reporting and understands how to manage problems, risks & issues associated with delivering defined outcomes.
  • Be able to demonstrate a strong understanding of financial management principles and apply this knowledge to effectively manage the commercial and operational activities of the business. 
  • Apply strong intellect and logic to quickly diagnose the core issues and identify a range of potential solutions and scenarios.
  • Actively build internal & external relationships.
  • Implement effective stakeholder management up to director level to ensure that all risk & opportunities are recognised and explored.
  • Be committed to delivering the best outcome and manage the delivery of project & commercial results by setting and agreeing performance standards & measures, and tracking results against them.
  • Team management - motivate and develop a team to increase their knowledge and get the best out of them.

Essential Criteria

  • Minimum of 3 years qualified experience (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)  
  • Experience in a multi-site environment
  • Good interpersonal, problem solving skills and a confident communicator at all levels
  • Ability to complete tasks timely and accurately is critical, you will be working in a fast paced and dynamic environment
  • Staff management
  • Strong system, data and reporting skills
  • Strong stakeholder management skills
