Financial Controller

My client is one of the most recognized retailers in the UK. The company, located in Central London, is seeking an ambitious Financial Controller to join their team. My client is a leading cosmetic and skincare brand with a strong environmental ethos. The Financial Controller will play a vital role in driving commercial strategy whilst streamlining the financial function. The successful candidate will be fully qualified and have experience in the retail or consumer goods industries and will have developed SME's.

Key Responsibilities:

• Leading and developing the finance team
• Full oversight of company finances including monthly and quarterly reporting
• Creating in depth financial forecast models
• Implementing and improving first class controls and systems
• The main point of contact for internal and external audit
• Working closely with key stakeholders and investors to offer sound financial analysis
• Business partnering with Directors on commercial strategy

Desired Skills and Experience:

• Minimum 2 years experience in a similar position
• Fully Qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA
• Degree educated
• Previous experience in retail is desirable
• Prior experience in developing an SME is essential
• Hardworking individual
