Reporting to the Senior Director of Corporate Development, the Mergers and Acquisitions Manager will be primarily responsible for financial modelling, project management and due diligence.

This corporate development role is key for a business that is high growth and acquisitive. The Mergers & Acquisitions Manager will focus on corporate transactions and growth opportunities for the business. 

Responsibilities:
• Financial modelling
• Investment appraisal
• Business case preparation for potential M&A activity
• Preparation of board level analysis / presentations
• M&A project management and liaison work with professional advisors
• Management of due diligence processes
• Support the Senior Director - Corporate Development in all matters related to M&A

Requirements:

  • Degree educated (2.1 or above)
  • Outstanding 'Big 4' qualified Accountant (ACA or ACCA)
  • Experience on the 'buy' side of M&A essential
  • Demonstrable understanding of asset valuation techniques, Net Present Value, Internal Rate of Return and Return on Invested Capital
  • Experience building and working on corporate financial models
  • Insurance background preferred
  • Relevant experience will include M&A, Corporate Development, Strategy, Transaction Support, Investment Banking, etc.
  •  Excellent MS Excel and analytical skills
