Senior Legal Counsel, Asset Management- Leading Global Asset Manager

This leading global financial institution is seeking to hire a senior lawyer in Dublin to provide legal coverage to the Asset Management business.

Responsibilities of the role will include:

• Applying Irish Law and regulations in relation to their suite of Investment Products distributed throughout the European Union
• Advising on the structuring, establishment and ongoing management of UCITS and Private AIF's
• Legal advice to the board of directors within Irish established entities - authorised by the CBI
• Advising on the distribution of funds and separately managed accounts

Experience

• Qualified in the European Union with at least seven years post qualification experience

• Experience of Irish Financial Service regulation with an understanding of MIFID and EMIR, as well as AIFMD
• Understanding of marketing rules that apply to funds and discretionary management services
• Commercial contracts for clients, distributors, intermediaries and agents within AM sector

Candidates should also have first rate verbal and written communication skills with strong commercial acumen to manage a variety of key stakeholders in multiple jurisdictions and provide succinct legal advice to a fast-moving business.
