A dynamic telecommunications business, who are shaping the market, is looking to hire a Deputy Group Financial Controller to be part of an exciting business and to be the right hand to the Group Financial Controller. This is a high-profile role, in which you will regularly collaborate with country controllers, FP&A, the CFO and CEO.
Reporting to the Group Financial Controller, you will be responsible for managing the month-end close and consolidation process as well as assisting with commercial activity. To be considered for this role, you must be able to analyse financial information in terms of their commercial meaning and ensure the efficiency of finance/accounting processes.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for managing the month-end close process, including the creation of month-end reporting packs distributed to country controllers.
- Directly accountable for the quality of the monthly, quarterly and annual consolidation.
- Effectively managing stakeholder relationships and expectations.
- Reviewing monthly reporting and ensuring external reporting is submitted on time.
- Continually supporting and contributing towards the consolidation automation project.
- Acting as the second in command to the Group Financial Controller.
- Providing insight and offering solutions on potential issues to the Group Financial Controller.
Person specification:
- Qualified accountant (ACA) with 3+ years PQE and industry experience.
- Experience in consolidating and analysing all aspects of management reporting at a group level.
- Advanced modelling including Microsoft Excel skills.
- Strong ability in using and managing accounting systems and consolidations processes.
- Ability to analyse financial information in terms of their commercial meaning.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines whilst working accurately with attention to detail.
- Ability to effectively manage stakeholder relationships.
Package:
£65,000 to £75,00 with bonus and based in London.
