Retail Risk Technology builds a single global Consumer Risk platform to produce risk management calculations and reports from account-level data for over 100 million credit card, mortgage and loan accounts.
We are looking for a senior hands-on development/technology manager to join the risk technology group. The role offers the opportunity to build a global risk management platform to support various business functions including IFRS9, Basel reporting, CCAR (Comprehensive Capital Analysis and Review), FDIC reporting, Loss Mitigation, Collections and Management Reporting.
The candidate's responsibility will be to act as a Development and Data Validation Manager for a portfolio of retail risk initiatives and the corresponding development teams while closely working with the business and technology governance stakeholders furthering the Consumer Retail Risk Technology agenda.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and Manage the Development of core capabilities Loss Mitigation Program, development for IFRS9, CCAR 14M.
* Lead the Retail Risk Data validation team to effectively cover & execute Deep Data SIT for various Retail core capabilities projects.
* Remediate blockers and mitigate the risks for Data Validation to meet the timelines and testing objectives.
* Responsible for different SDLC artifacts for Development as well as Deep Data SIT.
* Ensure that the team uses using the approved development methodologies.
* Push the use of Test Driven development and ensure that all aspects of the system have automated testing capabilities.
* Ensure that all changes are tested immediately using continuous integration.
* Ensure that the team uses proper change management procedures.
* Participate in department-wide architectural committees to ensure system architecture is sound.
* Regularly interact with Business and other stakeholders.
* Provide regular updates to business sponsors.
* Work closely with Business Analysts and Tech Lead to make sure we are delivering exactly what the business asked for at the right time.
Qualifications
Qualifications - Knowledge/Experience
* Proven leadership experience in geographically distributed Development Teams.
* Understanding of Retail Regulatory functions is a big plus.
* Experience with managing testing team (20+ resources).
* 10+ year of Industry experience (Risk is a plus)
* Familiar with all testing strategies and ability to deploy resources and approach for effective execution.
* Strong analysis and Testing skills.
* UNIX/Linux experience.
* Experience with SDLC and Agile Frameworks.
* Hands on with Excel and power point presentations is required.
* Knowledge of source code control systems, unit test framework, build and deployment tools
* Experienced with large scale programs.
* Ability to pick up new Teams, solve complex problems and multitask between different projects
* Should be able to demonstrate both technical and functional/business knowledge regarding past projects
* Must be able to work independently as well as in a team environment. Must be able to adapt to a rapidly changing environment
* Prior experience of working with multiple teams (local, virtual/global) and ability to coordinate track and expedite tasks.
* Demonstrate ability to work effectively in a fast paced, deadline driven environment.
* BS or equivalent degree in Computer Science or equivalent fields
