Legal Counsel

A multinational construction and infrastructure supply chain business are looking for a mid-level Legal Counsel to join them for a Construction and Procurement focused in-house position. Based in London, this role is offered on a full-time, permanent contract.

Responsibilities of your new role

Under the supervision of a senior in-house counsel, your key duties as Legal Counsel will include

• Drafting and advising on standard construction contracts (JCT, NEC3, RIBA);
• Working on general procurement matters and related contracts;
• Assisting with general commercial contracting; and
• Advising on other legal issues arising in the course of day-to-day business.

Candidate profile

The successful Legal Counsel will demonstrate:

• UK or common law qualified lawyer with around 3-6 years of PQE;
• Expertise and experience in standard form contracts and/or procurement in heavy industry;
• Experience gained at a top ranked law firm for infrastructure and construction projects and/or a well-regarded in-house legal team;
• Comfortable working in a commercial and collaborative environment.
