Energy Solicitor

A commercial law firm in Birmingham are looking to grow their Energy and Utilities team with the hire of a junior to mid-level Energy Solicitor. This role has been created due to an increase in current and future work through a robust business plan and is offered on a full-time, permanent basis.

Responsibilities of your new role

Joining a small but growing team, the Energy Solicitor will oversee a caseload consisting primarily of commercial contracts and commercial legal advisory work. Your key duties will concern:

• General Utilities/Water/Energy contracts;
• Competition/Regulatory;
• Industry Regulations; and
• Renewable Energy

You will be working alongside a senior sector lawyer who has a strong client base and connections in this area.

Candidate profile

The firm are seeking applications from Energy and Utilities Solicitors who demonstrate:

• Fully qualified with 2-4 years of PQE;
• Experience gained with a leading firm or successful in-house team; and
• Good experience and a genuine interest in the Energy and Utilities sector.

The firm is particularly interested in Energy or Utilities lawyers who may be working for a large international firm but want to do something different.
