This Diocese is not only about the people, churches and schools that make it up, but also an organisation that supports those communities and governs the Diocese. They part of the five senior dioceses of the Church of England.

Your new role
As the the Finance Director you will have a pivotal role working closely with fellow senior colleagues to support the overall development of the vision, mission and delivery of financial strategic aims. You will lead a finance team that is responsible for all aspects of financial management and daily accounting functions, supporting the Finance Committees of the three dioceses in their role of advising their Bishop's Councils on financial matters. During the course of the year the team prepares the diocesan budget; and quarterly management accounts. The team is also responsible for managing parish loan applications.

What you'll need to succeed
You will be CCAB/CIMA qualified and have a successful track record in operating in a finance role at Board level, ideally within the charity sector. Playing and active part in the development of financial strategy is vital as is previous experience of leading and managing change. You will be a strong leader, excellent communicator and skilled in building effective working relationships. An understanding of the values and ethos of the Church of England and willing to commit to the mission and strategy of the Diocese is a must.
