As the dedicated Analyst for the Chairman and CEO, you will provide high-quality research, executive summaries and meeting notes to aid in the growth of the organization. To be successful in this role, you should type super-fast and produce a high level of output, possess exceptional intellectual capacity and excellent communication skills, and be willing to give a multiyear commitment to the position. You must have the stamina to focus on consistently delivering impactful research on a multitude of subjects while producing clear, concise and accurate notes. What you'll do on a typical day:
- Take notes on calls and during meetings, and distill information into executive summaries
- Summarize research on various topics of interest for the CEO
- Investigate industry trends, important news events and professional publications for meaningful insights
- Integrate information from multiple sources to develop insights to support organizational growth
- Continuously improve research and analytical capability by discovering new outlets and channels for business intelligence
- Travel to business meetings with the CEO as needed
What you need to succeed at XPO:
At a minimum, you'll need:
- Bachelor's degree
- Exceptional intelligence with a quick, flexible mind
- Excellent written communication skills with the ability to write concise, accurate summaries
- A willingness to work long hours
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Office 365
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality surrounding company materials and information
- An "always-on" approach to work and your availability, including ability to work weekends and holidays as needed (with time off in lieu)
- A typing speed of at least 80 wpm is needed to keep up with the pace and volume of prioritized work (100+ wpm is highly desirable); we encourage you to review and practice your typing skills throughout your application process here:
It'd be great if you also have:
- 2 or more years of experience conducting research and analyses in a corporate environment, including relevant internship experience
- Strong organizational skills, with an extraordinary ability to multitask
- A "no job is too big or too small" attitude
