In House Legal Adviser

THE FIRM

A US owned fintech with clients in a wide range of sectors.

THE ROLE

A new role has arisen within the European Legal team, based in the City.

You will be joining the company at an exciting time for a role which requires the management of legal risk to ensure that the legal team adds value to its stakeholders.

You will be providing legal advice relating to business and operations conducted from the UK to include:

Complex contracts with suppliers and customers.

Company policies and procedures and compliance with legal, regulatory and internal company policy requirements.

Commercial agreements with customers.

Service agreements and technical SLAs with third party service providers to support the company's business operations.

Maintenance and update of standard customer contracts to ensure compliance with applicable law.

Obtaining and coordinating advice from external law firms as required.

Managing litigation matters for UK and Ireland.

Advising the complaints department.

ABOUT YOU

To be considered for this exciting in house role you must be able to demonstrate a solid track record and have excellent technical and negotiation skills.

You will have some experience of working with one or more of the following areas: payments sector, financial services, software/fintech, commercial contracts and e-commerce.

With at least 2pqe you will be qualified in England and Wales and have strong commercial contracts experience.

A second European language is also desirable.
