Your new role
As a lead lawyer within the team, you undertake a role supporting the business's Research and New Product Innovations teams, as well as leading on investments and M&A activity, global company secretarial and corporate governance work and providing support to the Group Treasury, Finance and Tax functions.

What you need to succeed
You will have a minimum of 5 years post qualification experience in a corporate commercial role, ideally in-house, and an ability to apply that knowledge in a practical and pragmatic way. You will be technically excellent with a pro-active mindset and the confidence and ability to deal with issues outside your expertise as well as being able to learn quickly on the job. You will have extensive corporate and M&A law experience and will be proficient in drafting, reviewing and negotiating on commercial contracts.

You must have good awareness of the role of the legal function in a large business and have the ability to contribute actively in the taking of key business decisions. An appetite to learn new skills and the versatility and technical ability to deal with issues outside of your experience and learn quickly on the job is desirable; you will also possess the confidence and gravitas to challenge decisions and actions when required.
