Enterprise Supply Chain (ESC) is a global organization with offices located in Asia Pacific, EMEA, Latin America and North America. ESC's responsibilities include sourcing of products and services, contract negotiation and management; spend analytics, accounts payable and supplier risk management all with keeping in mind Citi's goals of social responsibility including supplier diversity and sustainability. ESC's goal is to be a world class end-to-end supply chain organization that partners with the business to drive competitive advantage and mitigate supply risk for Citi.
Controls Specialists are subject matter experts responsible for supporting global ESC risk and control Programs. The Global Program Leads and Specialists work with the Sourcing, Procurement and Payment Services Operations teams, Third Party teams, Analytics, Systems team and ESC's Risk and Control (R&C) teams across the globe to ensure consistency in application of policies, regional procedures, and R&C programs. This includes responsibility for supporting the programs that ensure appropriate control structure is in place for ESC at the region, country, and Citi Service Center (CSC) level to manage risks within a risk based approach, and that any emerging or increasing operational risks are appropriately escalated and resolved, issues are identified and reported timely, and corrective action plans are tracked, reported, and brought to closure effectively.
Global R&C is responsible for working with key ESC business partners, supporting global risk and control needs, ensuring consistency across CSCs in application of policies, procedures, and execution of risk and control programs. Additionally, the role will support the execution of global risk management programs and initiatives such as IA reviews, second line reviews, and external audits. Participation will be required in key programs to support the goals and objectives of the ESC R&C organization.
Key responsibilities
* Report directly to the Global Risk & Control Head and interface with all ESC Regional R&C Leads and Global Service Centers for R&C Programs affecting their areas of responsibility.
* Support ESC R&C program needs with primary focus on IA and external reviews, consistent with global risk assessment objectives and expectations.
* Communicate up to date internal audit activities diligently to corporate, global, regional and country interfaces
* Utilize various ESC tools and corporate system applications to perform job duties
* Support of key risk and control projects and ad-hoc requests from the Global R&C team
* Maintain continuous improvement of the audit management program - ensuring the appropriate balance between control assurances, policy compliance and operational efficiency.
* Facilitate global interaction to deliver on common objectives.
* Work to establish a culture of control where R&C staff understand their role in the control environment and the criticality of a robust control environment
* Participate in the development of enhanced R&C programs, training, guidance, and communication materials for ESC; assist with the delivery of training and communication as necessary
* Leverage key relationships with business leads, internal/external audit, and other risk and compliance communities to optimize business goals.
* Assist in the identification, interpretation and assessment of risk and control data to identify trends and potential issues, when applicable
* Actively participate in the ESC R&C meetings
* Support of key risk and control projects and ad-hoc requests from the ESC Global R&C team
Qualifications
BA/BS degree8+ years business/operations management and/or risk and control experience, financial services experience a plusExperience with audit execution or coordinationSound, deep knowledge of risk and control methodology and best practices; preferably an understanding of Citi's R&C programs (i.e. MCA)Exceptional verbal, written, and presentations skills.Program/Project management experiencePrior experience interfacing with various levels of management including cross region collaborationHigh integrity and strong work ethic with a global mindsetKnowledgeable with Citi's Expense Management Policy, Citi Supplier Selection and Management Policy, Citi's Code of Conduct, Gift and Entertainment policies, etc. a plus
