About the role

We are recruiting for a well-known market leading & international business - they encourage a creative, social and collaborative environment. 

They are seeking to recruit a lead lawyer with experience in corporate law and M&A to undertake a role supporting the business's Research and New Product Innovations teams, as well as leading on investments and M&A activity, global company secretarial and corporate governance work and providing support to the Group Treasury, Finance and Tax functions.

 The role will entail collaboration with fellow leaders to devise efficient legal strategy, advice on complex issues, manage risk, draft contracts, provide legal training. Like many in-house roles, you can expect to turn your hand to areas outside of your specialism. This would therefore, suit a lawyer with a ‘can do' attitude.

Requirements

  • Qualified Solicitor (UK), 5 - 10 PQE*
  • Extensive corporate and M&A law experience and the ability to apply this knowledge in a business environment (essential)
  • Proficient in drafting, reviewing and negotiating on commercial contracts (essential)
  • Good business awareness
  • Comfortable with autonomy and willingness to challenge the status quo
  • Strong work ethic and high level of interpersonal skills
