International Business Controller

An international product-based business that have increased their market share consistently over the past three years are looking to appoint an International Business Controller on an interim basis for a minimum period of 6 months.

International Business Controller - About The Role

As the Group Reporting Manager you will have ownership for the integrity of the regional balance sheet and related internal controls for your business region.  Your role will require you to oversee compliance and forecasting support.  Your responsibilities will incorporate the following:

• High risk journal approval
• Ongoing balance sheet variance analysis / review for accurate pre-close
• Review and sign off on monthly balance sheet variance analysis submitted to Central Reporting & Control team
• Own balance sheet variance analysis for quarterly reviews
• Ensure regional compliance with accounting policies
• IFRS planning
• Implement process improvements
• Oversee VAT and tax compliance for the region (liaison with auditors)
• US GAAP and Statutory audit
• Responsible for regional SOX compliance

In addition to the above you will also be required to business partner with your region and support the business region on cashflow forecasts / actuals

The successful International Business Controller will have:

• US GAAP accounting knowledge
• Previous exposure of working with SOX compliance requirements
• Must have international group reporting experience
• Able to influence external parties including Auditors
