OUR CLIENT
We have been instructed by a high profile name in the financial services business to recruit a commercial lawyer c 3 - 5 PQE + to join a newly created division of a key name in the financial sector. The position will be based in Reading and will involve working c 1 day per week in the home counties office where the group legal team is based.
THE ROLE
The successful candidate will be expected to manage a varied business facing role with support from an established in house legal function - handling the following workload;
Documentation/Non-Contentious Work
Advising on and drafting a wide range of standard and bespoke commercial agreements including Distribution Agreements, Introducer Agreements, IT Contracts and other Supplier Contracts
Provide legal advice in an insurance context on specific and strategic projects
Litigation
Management of contentious matters
Regulatory
Provide legal support in relation to financial services regulation/legislative developments
