About

Our client is an expanding business which provides payment solutions across the UK. They are currently seeking to recruit a number of legal professionals to their existing team.

Reporting to the Head of Legal, you will be responsible for ensuring that the team is provided with sufficient legal advice across the retail payments network. In this role, you will support team decisions and involve further legal resources from internal legal advisory pools or externally when necessary. Day to day duties will involve assisting with a range of activities including; regulatory, commercial, finance strategy procurement, and contract management matters.

Requirements

  • 6 years PQE*
  • Experience of working in-house, preferably in the payment sector
  • Strong knowledge of law, legal issues, risks and changes relating to the payment/banking industry
  • Good understanding of data protection and intellectual property matters.
  • Capable of leading and managing a small team
  • Proficient negotiating skills with the ability to influence stakeholders
