Sole Legal Counsel

A Global Software business in Camberley, Surrey are looking for a Sole Legal Counsel to join them in house on a full-time and permanent contract leading UK and Ireland legal activity.

Responsibilities of your new role

As Sole Legal Counsel, you will be responsible for supporting the commercial teams on delivery of business solutions with regards to all manner of commercial contracts. Your key duties will typically include:

• Drafting, reviewing and negotiating software licenses (on-premise & cloud);
• Providing timely legal & risk advise;
• Communicating with high profile internal & external stakeholders; and
• Operating autonomously as part of the global legal team.

Required skills, experience and qualifications

The successful Legal Counsel will be a UK qualified solicitor with 5+ years of PQE. You will also demonstrate:

• Training from a UK Law Firm or Business;
• Strong knowledge of technology and data protection law;
• Experience negotiating and drafting contracts including software licenses and MSAs;
• Knowledge of UK GDPR regulations and implications; and
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
