Legal Counsel

A multinational Construction and Infrastructure supply chain business based in London are looking for a Legal Counsel to join them in house for a full-time, permanent position focused on Construction and Procurement.

Responsibilities of your new role

Under the supervision of a senior Legal Counsel, this non-contentious role will encompass duties including:

• Drafting and advising on standard construction contracts (JCT, NEC3, RIBA);
• Working on general procurement matters and related contracts;
• Assisting with general commercial contracting; and
• Advising on other legal issues arising in the course of the organisation's day-to-day business.

Required skills, experience and qualifications

The successful Legal Counsel will demonstrate:

• UK or common law qualified lawyer with 3-6 years of PQE;
• Expertise in standard form contracts and/or procurement in heavy industry;
• Experience at a top ranked law firm for infrastructure and construction projects and/or a well-regarded in-house legal team;
• Comfortable working in a commercial and collaborative environment.
