Financial Accountant

Our client is a privately owned real estate investment and asset management business.  They are currently seeking a Senior Financial Accountant to ensure all accounting, tax and reporting matters are completed when due as well as assisting the Fund Controller in managing the financial aspects of investments under management.

Reporting to Chief Financial Officer key accountabilities of the role include:

• Preparation of the monthly board pack, comprising profit and loss, balance sheet, cashflow, forecasts and commentary against budget and forecast
• Preparation of the statutory annual financial statements
• Preparing VAT returns and assembling data for corporation tax calculations
• Providing financial support by studying operational issues; applying financial principles and practices; developing recommendations
• Assisting in preparation of investment performance and fund performance reporting
• Assisting in coordination and review of management accounts and financial statements, relating to the funds under investment, prepared by external accountants
• Liaising with and reporting to the Fund Controller and Chief Financial Officer, providing assistance and support on ad hoc projects

  You will have a formal accounting qualification with at least 3-5 years' post-qualification experience (ACA / ACCA)
