Head of Legal and Compliance- Japan

Our client is a major multinational Technology and IT company. They are looking for a Head of Legal and Compliance to support their business in Japan.

Reporting to the General Counsel for AsiaPac you will be supporting the business units with diverse transactions, based from their Tokyo office. Candidates will be/should have:

• • Graduate Degree in Law / Jurisprudence from recognized institution in a common law based jurisdiction
  • Admission a a legal practitioner, preferably Japan
  • Trained/qualified at a top tier, reputable corporate/commercial law firm
  • Excellent academic record and working references / credentials
  • Fluency in English and Japanese highly preferred
  • Able to travel as needed
  • Experience in general ethics and compliance matters, familiarity with Foreign Corrupt Practices Act and European anti-corruption laws (or commitment to develop skills/knowledge in this area)
  • LLM or other post-graduate qualification
