Your new company

Your new company is a small, but growing FinTech, with a really innovative product offering targeted at FMCGs; to allow them to digitalise cash, saving cost and increasing security and efficiency. Based in stylish offices in Canary Wharf - they are able to blur the lines between having a cool Tech start-up feel, with the air of a much more established and corporate brand identity.

The business is currently 80 people strong, looking to increase to circa 100 very quickly. Finance is currently a small team, with 7 heads, including this role - this will allow you to get really involved in this company's growth plans moving forwards.

Your new role

In your new role as Finance Director for this growing FinTech - you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the finance team - which includes 3 remote direct reports and 1 direct report based in the London office. You will report directly into the CFO - who is looking to take on a more high level, strategic role, and work alongside the Investor Relations team and the Financial Modeller.

You will be the key point of contact for all accounting matters in the team, and ensuring the financial reporting is delivered timely and accurately, under the IFRS reporting standards. You will also be responsible for the creation, improvement and maintenance of processes & controls in the business, which are currently rudimentary.

What you'll need to succeed

You will need to be a qualified accountant, ideally ACA, with a strong technical underpinning to your career. During your career to now, you will have experience with managing a small team, and be able to fit into an SME working environment.

Experience working in a multi-entity, multi-currency business will be a massive bonus for this role, but is not a pre-requisite.

What you'll get in return

You will be rewarded with a generous starting salary, and the opportunity to join a business right before its interesting growth phase is set to begin. This will allow you to gain exposure to lots of moving parts in the business and gain great face-time with senior stakeholders which will all benefit your career.

Further, you will be at director level, which will allow you to take stock options - which, with your ability to grow the business, will also increase the value of these shares; giving you the ability to have ownership of your own earnings.
