Your new role
This role sits within the busy commercial and legal function in the City, as part of a team of 20 professionals that is a mixture of lawyers and commercial professionals. Reporting into the Legal & Commercial Director, you will have a wide array of responsibilities, including ensuring the retail terms for the company's retail investment products are compliant with the law and are current. You will also negotiate and review business-critical contractual agreements with suppliers, clients and partners, including service, supply, engagement and other important and complex agreements. Further, you will ensure compliance with data protection legislation including the GDPR and you will build excellent relationships across the business, including with senior stakeholders and commercial, compliance, regulatory and sales teams.
What you'll need to succeed
You will be a UK qualified lawyer with at least 4 years' PQE (as a guide only), and knowledge of investment products, share dealing, commercial contracts and data protection. You will have trained with a reputable firm or relevant in-house legal function having gained strong academics, while you will be an impressive communicator with strong relationship building skills. Wealth or investment management backgrounds will be readily welcomed, as would experience in an FCA regulated environment.
