Commercial Partner

Badenoch & Clark is looking to recruit a Commercial Solicitor to join a highly regarded firm, based in Southampton. The firm have an excellent national reputation and are ranked within the Top 100 Law Firms.

THE ROLE:

The candidate will work as an Equity Partner within this Top 100 Law Firm. The candidate will help develop and grow their own department. The firm are trying to expand their Southampton offering and would like to recruit a Partner to come in to drive this push to expand their commercial team. The ideal candidate will receive support from the firms other offices in the early stages of the role to help support with caseload. The candidate will be working closely with the Corporate department in Southampton.

The firm deal with very high quality work and high net worth clients, within the commercial team. The firm do have a key focus on the Technology sector, therefore someone with experience dealing with Commercial Technology work would be very well suited to this role. The commercial department deal with a varied caseload including; giving advice around drafting and negotiating commercial contracts, network agreements, e-commerce cases, GDPR, Intellectual Property, privacy, trademarks, outsourcing, IT and other cyber related work.

THE CANDIDATE:

The right candidate will have relevant experience in Commercial law, preferably with at least 7 years experience, although this is only a guide and outstanding candidates with less experience will also be considered, however they will need to be at least senior associate level. The candidate will have excellent client facing skills and be able to put the client at the forefront of everything. A candidate with previous experience managing a small team would be beneficial but not essential.
