Commercial Lawyer | 4+ Years PQE | Excellent Salary + Benefits

A respected Commercial and Infrastructure Department based in Bristol require a commercial lawyer to join them for work in procurements of infrastructure and service provision.

The Role and Responsibilities

The commercial lawyer will be joining a department involved in a variety of complex commercial contracting work including joint ventures in construction and engineering; outsourced service provision; new forms of delivery and funding of works, infrastructure and front and back-office services. Specific duties of the new commercial construction lawyer include:

• Infrastructure projects: highways, waste, energy, education, leisure, regeneration
• Variations and contract management
• Back office service provision: shared services, in-house, joint venture, outsourcing
• Front office service provision: shared services, new corporate arrangements
• Procurement support

The commercial solicitor will act for many Local Authorities, NHS Bodies as well as several private sector clients and Registered Providers. Much of the anticipated work will be for Local Authorities and private sector clients bidding back to that sector.

The Candidate Profile

The firm looks to appoint an experienced commercial solicitor with at least 4 years of PQE gained either in private practice, in-house or in the public sector. The successful commercial lawyer will also demonstrate:

• Drive, energy and ambition to help lead and drive business development
• Construction and infrastructure experience are not essential, although will be an advantage - drive and enthusiasm are more important
