Finance Director West Yorkshire Six figure base salary, benefits including potential equity

With revenues of c £30 million our client is profitable in a challenging market. It has an experienced management team in its sector, a clarity of strategy and a determination to succeed. To support and strengthen the executive, we seek to appoint a robust Finance Director capable of both originating and implementing change but collegiate and inclusive by nature.

The Finance Director to be appointed will be well rounded and down to earth, able to fit with a business environment with few airs and graces but with a passion and enthusiasm to optimise performance. The successful candidate will have strong communication skills able to work closely with the operations team to help them to understand the financial impact of their actions. He/she will have a style to both challenge and support and the gravitas and expertise to liaise directly with banks and other advisors. The individual to be appointed will have a desire and manner to be involved in all areas of the businesses, be “hands -on” by nature and keen to involve finance in matters central to the business agenda.

The successful candidate will be comfortable and thrive in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment with short lines of communication and rapid decision making and actions.

He/she will have a demonstrable ability to build quality relationships with colleagues at all levels of the business and a desire to be “involved.” The Finance Director who joins the group will ideally have previous experience of private equity, be highly familiar with banking relationships and have a proven record of achievement and delivery in a customer driven services/retail/customer driven environment.
