Legal Counsel - Insurance Law

We have been instructed by a global insurance provider to recruit a Legal Counsel for their office in Luxembourg.

Reporting to the CEO and to the General Counsel based in Milan this is a new, standalone position.

You will be a Civil and/or Common Law qualified lawyer (or have experience in working with Common Law Jurisdictions), with a strong academic background and 5-7 years of PQE gained while working in the insurance/reinsurance industry with a multinational company or top tier law firm,. Knowledge of employee benefits will be considered advantageous. The role will have a global responsibility and requires occasional travelling.

You will have:

• Experience in insurance and/or re-insurance industry;
• Solid experience in corporate and commercial law;
• Successful in-house track-record within a multinational player and/or experience in an international top tier law firm.

English is a must. Fluency in French and/or Italian will be considered a huge plus.

You will be a flexible, self-starter, team orientated, business minded with a proactive approach to problem-solving and a positive attitude towards new challenges.
