A busy Multi-Agency Authority in Yorkshire requires a Senior Commercial Contracts, Projects and Procurement Lawyer to join their friendly team on a full-time, permanent basis. The successful candidate will work in partnership with the Strategic Procurement Function and support the lead lawyer.
The successful candidate will take a pro-active corporate role in the management and delivery of the authorities' functions, and will demonstrate a commitment to its corporate commitments.

Day to day duties:

- Negotiating, drafting and interpreting high value and complex contractual documentation, including bust not restricted to; construction, energy, regeneration, transport, skills and colleges, grants, loans and EU matters.
- Providing advice and assistance in relation to contract disputes and dispute resolution, ensuring the authorities position is protected at all times and risks are minimised
- Work closely with a number of authorities, associations and other parties to provide a highly effective service

The ideal candidate will have previous experience dealing with commercial contracts, projects and procurement issues in a public sector or not for profit organisation, although those with relevant experience will be considered.

Candidates wishing to apply should be a Qualified Solicitor, Legal Executive or Barrister. Travel may be required to other sites from time-to-time so access to a vehicle would be beneficial.

The role equates to 37 hours per-week, based around a standard 9-5 work day with an hour for lunch.
