In recruiting for our new HRVP, we're looking for someone who not only understands the importance and value of people to an organisation, but who is commercially aware and will sit comfortably within the leadership team, able to credibly influence and take bold decisions.

Your future duties and responsibilities

You will play a central role in delivering the best service and care to all members, leading on all initiatives relating to; Human Capital Strategy, HR Business Planning and proactively coaching and counselling on leadership priorities. Your success will be measured by your responsibility for the wellbeing and operational effectiveness of all UK members, as well as representing CGI UK HR in the external market and with current and potential clients.

Working collaboratively as part of the UK Leadership team, the role involves strategically developing and leading on HR activity that drives the UK business plan, whilst also playing an instrumental part in CGI's Global HR Strategy. A strong influencer, you will be adept to working in a matrixed environment, with the ability to scope, propose, agree and implement initiatives at pace.

As a people manager, you will ensure brilliant HR team performance and provide leadership to the UK HR Team; identifying high-impact initiatives and holding responsibility for the execution of all UK HR policy.

You will work closely with leaders across Recruiting, Leadership, Development and HR Operations and in addition to this, you will be responsible for the direction and leadership of functional teams across various HR disciplines, including but not limited to:

- Recruitment and workforce planning
- Succession planning and talent review
- Organizational design and development
- Workforce diversity strategy and plan
- Total rewards strategy and execution
- Compliance and audit
- Member relations and more.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role

We are seeking to recruit a strong, adaptable, relationship builder able to credibly engage business leaders, subscribe to a partnership culture with a degree of resilience when coming up against challenges. Working with and partnering intelligent senior stakeholders is a key component of this role hence a strong executive presence, clear communication skills and experience representing HR at executive level meetings is key.

The successful candidate will offer proven, demonstrable success leading strategic HR efforts in a leadership capacity. Experience gained within a global IT consulting environment would be beneficial, but is not mandatory. Candidates must be able to reference past success in a HR leadership role within a challenging and sizeable organisation and be a true Human Resource business partner with solid generalist HR expertise. The successful candidate will also be a strong Human Resource team leader, accustomed to managing a significant team with recruitment/operational budgetary responsibility.

Professional qualifications such as CIPD or degree education are preferable traits, as is experience of having worked in fast-paced, high-growth global technology companies who are used to winning large IT consulting engagements on a UK and global basis.
