One of the leading offshore law firms in the world is looking for newly qualified transactional lawyers to join its Jersey and Guernsey operations. Openings exist for general corporate lawyers, banking lawyers, and investment fund lawyers who qualify in March or September 2018.
These newly qualified corporate lawyer / finance lawyer roles offer a great alternative to the City. Ambitious lawyers will enjoy exposure to high-value international deals and will notice that they begin to take on responsibility and deal with clients far earlier than their peers in big onshore firms. You will benefit from working with some of the brightest and best corporate and finance lawyers around but in the kind of down to earth and collegiate environment that can be hard to find elsewhere. Work-life balance is about as good as it gets in firms of this calibre, leaving plenty of time to socialise and enjoy island life.
You will need strong academics and a training contract with a good commercial law firm (City/International/top regional), including at least one relevant seat. You will also need good communication skills and a genuine team focused approach.
