Fund Accountant

Client / Job / Person Spec Details

We are instructed by an established and leading independent global fund services provider who have 10 global offices in key onshore and offshore financial locations.  The business are now looking to appoint a Vice President/Controller in their Client Accounting team based in Luxembourg.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for managing the daily administration of a portfolio of SPV's
• Managing day to day accounting transactions, bank recs, preparing monthly management accounts and annual financial statements in Luxembourg GAAP and IFRS.  
• Supervising the invoicing process and collection of receivables
• Preparation and filing of direct and indirect tax returns and maintenance of all client files in portfolio;
• Managing compliance and general administration.  
• Responsible for managing a small team and will oversee their work as well as general development.
• Liaising with clients, auditors, lawyers, tax advisors and other parties
• Attendance at Board meetings, preparation of minutes and filings with Lux Trade Register.

  Candidate profile:

• 5-7 years' experience in corporate accounting, from either a Fiduciary or Audit business.
• Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with a strong academic background.
• Conscientious and detail orientated person.
• Must be able to communicate (spoken/written) fluently in English; additional languages are advantageous.
